Center to End Corporate Harm (UCSF)

Live fight

Dr. Robert Lustig is part of the Center to End Corporate Harm at the University of California, San Francisco, which launched in January 2025. The center is led by Tracey Woodruff’s Program on Reproductive Health and the Environment (PRHE) and targets fossil fuels, plastics, tobacco, chemicals, and ultra-processed food through research built on the UCSF Industry Documents Library β€” the archive of internal corporate documents that has underpinned tobacco and other litigation.

The center’s work dovetails with Lustig’s stated belief that the food industry has enjoyed “complete impunity” in adding substances to food, and with his broader program of using industry documents to design counterstrategies β€” the theme of the NEJM consortium paper he co-authored in March 2026. UCSF’s PRHE blog teased “exciting announcements in 2026” from the center, signaling an active, ongoing agenda.
