Vaccine Policy

The Vaccine Policy hub follows what U.S. health agencies are formally proposing, voting on, and publishing — and what is contested in court or in Congress. We do not take a position on individual vaccines or on the broader vaccine debate. The home page of this site states our posture explicitly: vaccine policy is covered here as news, not as a brand position. Every item in this hub is anchored to a primary document, an official agency proceeding, or a confirmation-hearing transcript.

The procedural landscape sits across three institutions. The Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee held confirmation hearings in early 2025 in which vaccine policy was the dominant line of questioning for Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Marty Makary, and Jay Bhattacharya. The CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices continues to meet on its regular three-times-per-year cadence; the September 2025 and December 2025 meetings are linked here as the official record. The FDA’s vaccine and biologics review apparatus, housed in the Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research, has cycled through leadership change, with Vinay Prasad’s departure and Katherine Szarama’s appointment as acting director.
