Issues

Topic hubs that cut across players: food system, chronic disease, pharma reform, vaccine policy, agency watch, and legal-political action.

The Issues section organizes our coverage by topic instead of by person. Each of the six hubs below is a standing editorial container: confirmation-hearing video, primary-source agency announcements, congressional testimony, and the roster members most active on that question. Hubs update as the news moves rather than being archived after a single chronicle entry.

We split the agenda into six because that maps onto how HHS sub-agencies actually divide responsibility. Food System and Chronic Disease sit at the agenda’s center of gravity. Pharma Reform and Vaccine Policy are the most contested and most procedurally formal. Agency Watch is operational news at FDA, CMS, NIH, and CDC. Legal / Political is the layer where everything either becomes binding or gets blocked. Every hub is sourced; every claim ties back to a primary document.

Six Coverage Hubs

  • Food System — Ultra-processed foods, additives, dyes, SNAP reform, school meals.
  • Chronic Disease — Metabolic health, prevention, root-cause medicine, lifestyle intervention.
  • Pharma Reform — FDA pathways, drug pricing, direct-to-consumer advertising, transparency.
  • Vaccine Policy — Covered as news. Neutral framing. No brand position.
  • FDA / CMS / NIH / CDC Watch — Agency decisions, reversals, appointments.
  • Legal / Political — Lawsuits, congressional hearings, executive orders.
